My Bio
Originally from the UK, I moved to Australia in February 2018 (because I fell in love!) I qualified as a drug detection dog handler with my GWP in 2011, later training my sprocker in explosive detection. I worked as a drug and explosive detection dog trainer, in addition to training General Purpose dogs (Security) and their handlers. My GWP was so well behaved (a culmination of years learning and training the dogs that went before him) that I was frequently approached on my dog walks by other dog owners and asked if I could help train their dogs too, so I did. I absolutely love learning, I have attended many dog related courses, I read dog specific scientific research papers and books AND put what I have learned into practice. I'm also qualified to train people (CIPD (UK)) which is such an advantage, as I teach you to understand and train your dog. I volunteer at a local shelter two mornings a week, taking the dogs for walks and implementing training. I have worked with all sizes of dogs with all sorts of "problems". I am a Certified Family Dog Mediator, using the L.E.G.S model to ascertain where a dog is struggling and which improvements can be implemented for them and you.
