My Bio
My name is Claudia Weber. I have been a Professional Dog Trainer for over 20 years now. I started in Germany and continued here in Toowoomba after I moved to Australia in 2016. I continue to learn about dogs and keep up with the latest research in dog science and aim to translate those into practical dog training.
I use positive, reward-based training methods and concentrate on giving you all the tools you need to build a strong bond and relationship with your dog build on fun activities and training, trust, and kindness.
All group training includes Theory (such as dog behaviour & body language, the importance of our body language for the dog and your training, finding out what is a reward for your dog (spoiler alert: not always, what we think it is), and much more) and – of course – Practice.
My services include
• Group Training in small groups (max. 4-5 dog-handler teams):
• Puppy Pre-School for puppies 9 to 16 weeks: Training includes starting basic training such as Focus, Recall, Sit, Drop, Stay, Stand, loose lead walking, developing motor skills and confidence, and more as well as Theory (e.g., developmental stages, what to expect during the teenage phase, harness or collar, to crate or not to crate, enrichment ideas), and more
• Everyday Obedience for puppies from 16 weeks - Several groups for all ages and sizes, from Teenager to Senior, size XXS to XXL: Training includes 3D-Training (increasing Duration, Distance, Distractions) of Focus, Recall, Sit, Drop, Stay, loose lead walking, problem-solving, developing motor skills, enrichment ideas, and more as well as Theory
• Behaviour Consultation and Individual 1-on-1 Training (In-Home)
• Advice before getting a dog, Finding the right dog for your lifestyle
• mindDog Australia and Assistance Paws Approved Assistance Dog Trainer
• Story Dogs Team Assessor Toowoomba
Special Discounts and Free Individual Training for Foster Carers and Adopters of several local rescue groups (Conditions apply)
Volunteering:
• Monthly visits at Carinity Brownesholme, Highfields
• Foster Carer for Labrador Rescue Australia

Qualifications:
